Small Business Program Director - Transportation

WIL is seeking a Small Business Program Director for transportation contracting to run a regional center that helps small and disadvantaged businesses compete for and win transportation contracts.

It supports a competitive grant application WIL is preparing; no award has been made, and there is no guaranteed work or funding. If an award proceeds and the staffing model calls for it, WIL may offer a project-based contract or consulting engagement. We will ask before naming you or including your resume in any proposal.

What you'll do

• Direct a regional small-business technical assistance center's outreach, training, and counseling
• Help small and disadvantaged businesses prepare for transportation contracting and certification
• Build partnerships with transportation agencies, prime contractors, and business associations
• Plan and run business-development events, workshops, and matchmaking sessions
• Track and report client outcomes, contract awards, and program metrics
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to WIL proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements:

Required

• Experience leading small-business development, procurement technical assistance, or DBE/supplier-diversity programs
• Knowledge of public-sector or transportation procurement processes
• Outreach and partnership-building experience with agencies and prime contractors
• Program management and outcomes-reporting experience
• Comfortable as a project-based contract collaborator; remote US

Nice to have

• APEX Accelerator / PTAC or SBDC experience
• Transportation construction or DBE certification background
• Regional business-network relationships
